Student Coin; The First Academic Student Coin in the World

Apart from the field of finance, It has cut across many sectors.
What makes blockchain so special, the best thing that has been given to humanity since the internet, is the blockchain....
It's transaction are irrefutable, unbiased, and verified by everyone, making it decentralized.
Blockchain will be implemented in the field of property acquisition like real estate and land, copyrights, publishing...
The list would go on and on, I will be telling you about a blockchain, the first cryptocurrency related to the net of universities, a valuable token to educate and unite students around the world, and tokenize the modern academic system.

STUDENT COIN

The Student Coin was created to introduce the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain to students. STC is a coin that aims to tokenize modern education systems and create a multi-university blockchain network that connects universities worldwide."
Student Coin project is run by students, faculties, and entrepreneurs from 17 universities, including the Kozminski University, New York University, Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Oxford, London School of Economics, University of Warsaw, Maastricht University, or Imperial College London to mention a few.

The project is the first academic program that directly educates students about the blockchain technology, cryptocurrency exchanging, the cryptocurrency markets - allowing them to trade, invest, send or receive Student Coins, as well as gives courses about personal finance, and new technologies.
All the faculties, students, and alumni from over 500 supported universities are eligible to receive the one-time 100 STC airdrop – using their university email.

THE AIM OF THE PROJECT

The project is divided into two main parts
The educational part:
In the modern world of the internet, it is hard to keep up with every technology trend, hence there is a great deal of students ( or people) who actually need to deeply understand the backend of blockchain technology, and tokenization, while these ideas should be commonly understood and applied.
In this part, efforts will be made to create awareness around the STC ecosystem, launch partnerships with the worlds’ leading universities, and revolutionize the modern academic world.

The tokenization part:
the long-term aim of Student Coin is to create dedicated tokens for every single university, student, and individual that will be based on Student Coin. The cooperating student organizations, universities, and students will have access to the open-source tool called STC Terminal, which will allow easy creation and management of their tokens as Oxford Student Token or Stanford Student Token. What is more, the tokens will be freely traded at incoming STC Exchange to STC, in pairs as OXF/STC or STN/STC allowing to crowdfund, vote, or govern projects and organizations.

USABILITY

After phase 6 of STUDENTS COIN, STC will be used to:

Create the dedicated university tokens based on Student Coin
Create personal tokens
Create corporate tokens
Create Startup tokens
Create organization tokens
Trade STC-based tokens at STC Exchange
Perform the fundraising for organizations and projects
at STC Exchange
Perform the fundraising for the university-based startups
at STC Exchange
Tokenize the basic utilities and university life expenses
Build the close-knitted blockchain research society
Fund the student’s charity projects
Fund the student’s research labs
Use Student Coin in the student clubs fund governing
Use Student Coin as the currency for online lectures and webinars
Use Student Coin as the payment option for the tuition fees
Use Student Coin as a unified currency for Erasmus and other exchanges
program.

STC TERMINAL

STC Terminal will enable advanced wide-scale tokenization. All schools,
student organizations, lecturers, or even individuals will be able to create their
own tokens that will be stored in the STC App. After the launch of the token, its
utility will be easily managable in the STC Terminal.
And this tokens will be used for:

  • Projects and organizations votings
  • Projects and organizations governing
  • Project fundraising
  • Startup fundraising
  • Personal fundraising
  • Awarding lecturers
  • Awarding activities
  • Performing airdrops
  • Performing admission
  • Supporting charity
  • Accessing the premium lounges at student events
  • Accessing the premium options in the library
  • Receiving discounts

    student exchange programs
  • Supporting the sports representatives.

  4. Initial Exchange Offering and the major project launch (10.2020 – 08.2021)
  5. Preparing the STC ecosystem (08.2021 – 10.2022)
  6. Leading the world decentralized education (10.2022 – end of 2023)
  7. Establishing the STC ecosystem (2024 +)
